David checked out the route and contacted us a few days and also the day before the service, to see if there was anything that we needed. The procedures were carried out with dignity and reverence but were not over heavy in a way that would have lessened the sense of its being a family occasion.Prior to the day of the funeral, the manner of everyone we had contact with at Udens was always respectful and charming without being obsequious. Everything was explained clearly and all the organization and responses to our questions were done promptly and efficiently.The service was lovely. Before the funeral I was distressed and unhappy but thanks to you and Reverend Steve I now feel sad but calm.The only criticism that I have was that I would have liked to have been one of the pall bearers. I understand that there are probably legal reasons but, with covid and the fact that most of the attendees were elderly and travelling from many different places, it was impossible to organize that the family carried the coffin.
